A Cutting-Edge Summary

I will shortly send you away from here for some off-shore reading.

Factory has a nicely-written post on his Hunting for Archetypes blog which, in my considered opinion, neatly buttons up the current state-of-the-art for MRA-craft. He manages to hit a series of points which I deem critical and quintessential to the historical moment, and which everybody in our sector ought to take on board.

But I'll inject a few thoughts of my own here. In the course of my blogging, I hope I have made clear, if nothing else, that the time for argument is past. If I haven't made that clear, please let me know and I'll try harder! ;)

It is no task of ours to answer to feminism in any way, but rather the reverse: they must answer to us. But first, they must be given to understand the politically objective state of affairs, so that a dawning realization of their objective position will swing them around to the correct orientation. And for this, proper mobilization of our growing numbers ought to do the trick. The proliferation of angry, heckling voices, along with other signals from the non-feminist sector, will back them slowly, pitilessly, relentlessly to the wall.

For the present, they find shelter within their customary citadels of government, academia, moderated web forums and professional briar-patches—for such is their power base. But the heat from the street is rising; the grassroots are swarming with new and unexpected dangers, and the day will come when fifth-columnists on their own turf will betray them in critical numbers. And they will cast their eyes wildly about them, not knowing any longer who their actual friends and enemies are. . .

But I say it again: the time for argument is past. I know this, we know this, and they. . . yes, they know it too! For they have caught the shift in the wind, the raw edge in our voices, the acid gleam in our eyes. That is why they have put together a new satchel of tricks.

So it is very much as Factory advises: if you choose to engage them whatsoever, maintain the talk at the level of the "big picture". This effectively keeps things outside the realm of argument altogether. For us, such a game is more like a turkey-shoot because it sets them in a realm of moral questions where they cannot hope to answer honorably for themselves.

On that note, I send you forth:

@Factory:

Sadly, I am YouTube challenged. And I mean precisely that: sadly! :(

Sometimes I enjoy YouTube sessions at the library and such places. . .

@Anon:

Sir, in good faith, I wish I knew what the hell you were talking about! ;)

Fidel / Anon,

There are economic realities at play right now that present the opportunity to redefine nearly everything. The collapse of the welfare state and its attendant rolls of useless eater bureacrats, functionaries and administrators is carved in stone. Obama is accelerating the process right now, bless his heart, by trying to use the crisis to grow the state. The simple fact is that socialism destroys economies, witness the Soviet Union. I personally welcome Obama's actions as I view them as truly hastening the day of collapse of the modern American welfare state. There is no money for the welfare state, there never was, and we are at the end of it now.

We have been living in a credit bubble of historic proportion since 1971. This easy money credit bubble has been the enabler for making radical stupid thinking into radical stupid laws and actions. What I mean to say is, the marginalization of men has been literally made possible by easy money central bank expansion / inflation policies. It is as if economic reality was repealed for a time, and society allowed itself to believe it didn't need its men. People will behave as badly as they can get away with, and during times of easy economic prosperity they can get away with behaving quite badly indeed.

Right now you are witnessing truth interceding in the financial markets. The welfare state is economically unsustainable. Within a few years, or possibly sooner, we will be in a full-blown dollar crisis; it will be impossible for the US to borrow money from anyone, and the Fed will be printing massive quantities of brand new money to try to make up the shortfall. Sooner or later reality will intrude into the socialist fantasy; people will have to get back to work and stop all this fucking stupidity. Society will realize it actually needs its men to work and make things.

I'm telling you, there's an economic shitstorm of epic proportions coming, and it will eventually be rightly seen as an "all hands on deck" event. Right now the left is partying hardy and enacting all their dream legislation, but in so doing they are guaranteeing the collapse of the credit system and along with it the US Dollar.

May you live in interesting times.

NotNOW, I haven't seen you around for a while and. . you're back with a bang!

Although economics is a bit of a bald spot in my education, your words certainly wring true: one way or another we're headed for the wringer! :(

And that feminism is an unnatural life form sustained by unnatural support systems, has always been darkly evident to me, even through the dark glass of my primitive understanding. . .

I am called away from the computer now, but I'll return later in the day to reflect more and write more. . .

fidel,

I never really left; once an MRA, always an MRA. I carry the flag wherever I go. Drawn away from here by the unfolding economic crisis; this is one for the record books, trust me. Your grandkids will be asking you to tell them stories about it. It's only just beginning. The economy of the world suffered a fatal blow in August 2007, and we are watching the death throes. I'll say it again, this is just the beginning. If you want to understand what is happening, just remember these words: there is no money.

All these women who threw their man away thinking they didn't need him and could get by and live better with his money but without him, are going to be presented with years worth of opportunities to wish they hadn't.

First of all, physical security is going to become a huge problem. I mean home invasions, kidnappings, carjackings, etc. Second, when people lose their jobs, they can't pay support and fuckimony, and when the government loses its tax base it literally can't afford to jail men for not paying. This is happening right now in California, and as I said this is only the beginning.

The system is going to fail spectacularly. Think Iceland; think Argentina. A number of US states have had motions filed in their state legislatures invoking their tenth amendment rights, and these motions are getting popular support.

Gun sales are running at a clip of about 1.5 million PER MONTH since Obama was elected. Ammunition sales have increased 400% since the election. There is serious form-of-government-altering shit in the wind.

@NotNOW:

It is a bleak picture that you sketch, and it will all be so beastly philistine, that's the worst of it! ;{

Building upon the overall trajectory, I can see women everywhere SUDDENLY learning to value men again. . . and things male! Male-bashing will become abruptly unfashionable.I mean, women will need MEN to protect them against other MEN. The question is whether "men" will be in any mood to look out for women at all, given the way that "men" have been treated all these years. . .

Women who are wise will start showing their colors now, and "buying stock" in the men's movement now, rather than later! That is, if they want to establish their bona fides. Pity the diehard feminist holdouts. . .!

(Well, whoever wishes to pity them, may certainly do so. ;)

Another MRA wrote: "The thing women should fear most from men is our indifference."

He may be correct.

I agree generally with Nouriel Roubini's assessment of conditions, but we differ greatly on what to do about it.

The global banking system is kaput. The global banking system is the power base from which all government action springs. Change is blowing on the wind, and the wind is a hurricane.
