E-mail Campaign: Won't You Join?

I send you now to the False Rape Society, to read and fully absorb the following:

http://falserapesociety.blogspot.com/2009/07/email-exchange-with-reporter-who.html

After you have studied, pondered and completely digested every aspect of the matter in question, consider sending an e-mail to Christina Hernandez, the young greenhorn reporter in Florida who has not yet been sufficiently embarrassed in my opinion.

Please try NOT to sound like a wild, nutjob MRA spewing rabid spittle and brimstone. Instead, compose your message with icy civility and minimal politeness. Take the time to get your spelling and grammar right. And then, elliptically as you please, make her understand that she has achieved notoriety, that her "fame" is au courant for more than just a handful of people.

Kindly do not mention the False Rape Society (or CF) as the 'instigator' of your action. Make it sound like you simply discovered this all on your own, and felt "moved by the spirit" to speak your mind as any concerned citizen might do.

Then, inform anybody and everybody about this, and get them to join in the fun. Spread it through your network! (When I get done posting, I'm going to go and Twitter this!)

If you are from outside the USA, please make your international status known, since we want to make it clear that this is a worldwide thing.

I thank you kindly for giving this your consideration.

Postscriptum: It would be nice if she would publish some kind of correction or retraction, don't you think?;)

Postscriptum 2: Archivist, of the False Rape Society, has left the following comment on this post:
'Thanks for the post. I would really like to see a large number of people send Ms. Hernandez an email that lays out just where her story was wrong. My personal favorite of the article:

"False reports just feed into the myth that women lie about rape, and it's not true," Baer said.

'What is really funny, is the story is about 2 false rape reports. Uhhhhh, Ms. Baer, that means they lied about being raped. Odd place to state that women lying about rape are a myth. This story completely puts the lie to your statement.

'What a tool.

She's just doesn't know what she doesn't know - unfortunately that is seriously dangerous. But all the youth in journalism today aren't learning that you publish the truth in journalism, but that you publish what sells. And stating that the number of true rape accusations is grossly overstated isn't going to be a popular read. If she wants to climb the totem pole, which she does, than she is going to have to sell out more and more, just like everyone else in the business. Honestly, I don't think that e-mailing her would do any good. I too highly doubt that she is intellectually honest enough with herself to publish a retraction or to research something that won't help her career ambitions. yeah. I guess that's where women in the workplace will take one.

"Honestly, I don't think that e-mailing her would do any good."

I think the important thing is to do it anyway. Not in order to change HER in the short run, but to change the WORLD in the long run.

It's all about "getting the energy out there." The more that people do such things, the bigger the dent they will make on the world in the long run.

If thousands of people write such e-mails on a regular basis, it WILL make a dent because it will raise the profile of the issues, and make the world aware that those issues EXIST.

Writing a few e-mails to ONE person might not do any good, but writing thousands of e-mails to a lot of people in a persistent way on a bigger and bigger scale cannot help but make a dent in the world.

Eventually this will gain critical mass, and everyone will become aware of what is happening, and will know that everyone else knows this likewise, and the accumulated environmental pressure will finally force a change in their behaviors.

But in order for such a thing to happen at all, it must happen one step (or one e-mail) at a time. And that "one step" will ALWAYS feel like futility.

Can't give up, though. Got to keep pushing.

What's to be gained by reporting a rape that didn't happen? Show me the evidence where women are "better off" for having accused a man of rape.

How about doing some "real" research?

@Anon 5:52

No anon, it is reporting a false claim that DID happen.

Do you see the difference?

Thanks, but I saw that blog a LONG time ago.

Anon 5.52,

Been a while since I've seen you posting GeorgiaGirl. How have you been?

You do get that McDowells study actually categorized the reasons for false reports, don't you?

Show you the evidence? In the United Kingdom, they give 11,000 pounds to the 'victims' of violent crimes upon arrest of someone (it doesn't matter if it turns out to be false). The same is done by many 'rape crisis centers' here in the states as well. And that money dosn't have to be repaid if it turns out to be a FALSE accusation.

Kobe Bryants accuser got a large settlement. Ben Rothlisberger's will likely get paid as well.

As Nancy Grace perpetrates false rape accusations and lies about the incidence of rape, I thought those of you who have not yet seen this video should. The misandrist pig gets skewed.
