This Makes Perfect Sense

Hillary Clinton, U.S. Secretary of State, has been quoted as follows:
"Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, their sons in combat."
All right, let's mull this over. First off, I can agree that men do not lose their husbands in combat, so. . . score one for the ladies!

But men DO sometimes lose fathers or sons in combat. So, call this one even-steven.

But wait, here comes the big cruncher: follow me closely! Men do NOT lose their wives, their mothers, their daughters in combat. Thus, if a particular woman loses her husband in combat, that same husband has NOT lost his wife. Or. . . if a particular woman loses her father in combat, that same father has NOT lost his daughter. Or. . . if a particular woman loses her son in combat, that same son has NOT lost his mother.

So, I think you can easily see that overall, men are not the primary losers in war because in most cases as exampled here, men simply do not suffer comparable losses!

Thank you so much, Secretary Clinton, for clearing that serious matter right up for us!

I guess being killed in combat doesn't count, probably because we're men and it's expected of us.

Thank you, Secretary Clinton, for enlightening all of us who weren't lucky enough to find such an up-and-comer to hitch our wagons to (and without whom you'd be manning a checkout station at Wal-Mart in Rotten Pig, Arkansas) that each and every combat death is eyeblink quick and devoid of pain.

So..Losing men IS a loss to society solely because it is a loss to WOMEN.

It is futile to expect any better argument from a woman, let alone a feminist hag like Hillary Clinton...

@Bhanu: Long time no see!

Ironic, isn't it, that men are only "worth" something if they are of use to women? This makes me think of a certain feminist who remarked that "whatever is of use to women is good." So is that to say that men are "good" after all?

@Feminist Lurkers:

The above male commenter is from India, and you see what he says about women.

That attitude is GROWING... worldwide, and feminism is largely responsible for making this happen. So if you don't like what men such as my commenter are saying, you should blame the person you see in the mirror before you blame anybody else.

Here's a little experiment: Try to imitate this facial expression for a minute, notice how it makes you feel inside and then it should be clear what to expect from Hillary. ;-)

On a serious note: Look at her eyes... there's nobody in there. How did this happen? Scary.

Ugh. Men die en masse as cannon fodder.

I think there's a general female attitude that men get what's coming to them because it's been true throughout history that men start wars. But what they ignore is that that it's a tiny number of male megalomaniacs who start wars and an overwhelming number of men who are forced into the war machine against their will or better interests. Some of those men have committed terrible crimes and atrocities against civilian women and children in the course of war, and their stories are better remembered by the survivors than the ones who marched for kin and country and died in the cannon fire.

War hurts everyone. Hillary Clinton is an idiot.

In that picture, Hillary Clinton looks like a happy imbecile. I should pop that pic into Photoshop and add something that looks like drool oozing from her mouth.

Actually, I have seen worse pictures of HC; ones where she looks truly DEMONIC.

The problem with the idea that women suffer more in war is that as a gynocentric statement it does not cover how men suffer in war.

First off, men suffer and die.

Those men who survive wind up with the effects of psychological trauma -- memories of seeing and doing horrible things. And lets not forget about having horrible things done to you.

I read that PTSD resolves within 30-40 years.

As a side-note my Dad complained that he was trained to kill Japanese on sight but never untrained.

Of course the physical effects are nothing to sneeze at -- missing limbs, scars, burn wounds, and now brain trauma.

But if you disregard all of the above and more, women do suffer more in war.

Hello from Ukraine !

This the VERY interesting topic !

Now, as for me, the Ukrainian woman, I say you that I am unclear exactly as to a feminists mind and motive.

For the woman that seeks the equal wages, the equal behaviour towards her, the absence of sexual gesture such as rear slap etc, this the normal struggle all women should strive for I believe.

But, I have friends who have left Ukraine and live with their men, 1 in USA, 1 in Uk, also 1 in Poland and 1 in Austria. These girls have said me much about what occurs in these nations, including about feminist movements, and, it seems to us that such movements do not seek to further equality for women but, to bash the man, denounce him as a lesser being. To chastise his every compliment towards woman, to force him into a submissive role in this life. This is not for me, nor my girls, we are Ukrainian women, with the traditional view of relations between man and woman, proud to be, we enjoy wear the female clothing, we like when man looks, compliments, admires from distance and, when we choose, admires close up. We simply wish not to be handled when against our will, and earn the equal wages when engaging in employment of equal tasks.

So, now I wait the attack from these women from their computers, they surely would not try enter Ukraine to denounce me, their overt feminism would betray them at our border, and our guards would say them “GET OUT” :-)

Sincerely,
Marina.

We are very international on this blog, so it is always good to see people from interesting parts of the world like your country. :)

You have heard of Yulia Tymoshenko? (Let me guess: yes! of course!) Well my studyings take me to many places and things that you would never know I knew about, so, I know that name too! ;)

"For the woman that seeks the equal wages, the equal behaviour towards her, the absence of sexual gesture such as rear slap etc, this the normal struggle all women should strive for I believe."

Yes! Those are all good things that I agree with. And if feminism was truly about only those things, then I would find nothing wrong with feminism. And if I were living in your country maybe I too would be a "feminist" by those standards.

Well, maybe feminism in your country is truly about such things. . but in Europe and the USA and all around the West, feminism is something very very different. Yes, I'm afraid its true: here in the West feminism teaches women to behave like trash, think only of themselves, and treat men like dogs! It is sad, and not getting better! :( That is why people like me are keeping blogs like this, trying to turn back the tide if only just a little. . .

Oh, and if you are wondering about Ukraine joining the European Union. . . wouldn't all those Europeans run riot and have an easier time to bring in things like feminism? It is something to think about...

"So, now I wait the attack from these women from their computers, they surely would not try enter Ukraine to denounce me, their overt feminism would betray them at our border, and our guards would say them “GET OUT” :-)"

Oh, I wouldn't worry about those radical wimyn attacking from their computers. They never come around my blog anyway.

You will be very safe! ;)

This is a good read - related to female politicians saying silly things...

Actually, that whole web-site tells quite an interesting story. ALthough, it obviously left somebody a pinch bitter...
