Magazine Article on the Kevin Driscoll Case
I have gotten the following e-mail from Kayleen Schafer of Details magazine, in New York City. Long-time readers with a long memory might recall that I corresponded with Kayleen way back in early 2010, when she was working on an article about Kevin Driscoll's false rape accusation. Anyway, as you will see, the article has been published and is available for online reading. I would highly recommend reading it.
Jody Vaughan, just for the record, was an Oregon version of Mary Kellett. The criminal justice system in this country is chock-full of rogue prosecutors like Mary Kellet, Jody Vaughan, and Mike Nifong.
By the way, a little-known detail about the Driscoll case is that no rape-kit testing was done at the time of the alleged rape -- they waited until several months later! Now, that's what I call stellar police work.
"I wrote a story about Kevin Driscoll for Details that I hope you will consider posting about -- I know you were a close follower and supporter of his case and trial while it was in progress. It’s about the stigma of being falsely accused of rape. As you know, Driscoll's one-night stand that lead to charges that cost him his home, his job, and his wife-to-be. And even though a jury found him not guilty, he now knows he’ll never truly be seen as innocent. Thanks for considering the post. The link to the story is below and I hope all is well. When you read the story, you will learn that the assistant D.A. Jody Vaughan, who was prosecuting Kevin's case, has been dismissed from her post. She was reportedly not available for comment.

Would a rape kit even work after several months?
Um...I highly doubt that it would!
Great news. Not only was Kevin set free, but now that corrupt DA can't put any more innocent men through hell.
Which, coincidentally, is where she is surely heading.
Unless she didn't bathe at all in those months, then no, the rape kit would mean nothing at all.
And the comments. Talk about victim blaming. Disgusting.
Thanks for the update F.
"Thanks for the update F."
No problemo! Oh..and thanks for your piquant narrative about the Chicago slutwalk (on V4M radio)!
And I quite agree with the consensus that was expressed on the show, that the slutwalk rituals are about crowing and flaunting wymmin's social power, and have no bearing upon any anything lofty or noble.
Maybe in the long run, the best policy is to simply stand back and LET as much of the female population as wishes to do so follow the feminist piper down the rathole. Don't criticize them or say anything at all. They got what they wanted and they're on their own -- so smile, wash your hands, cut them loose, and let them destroy themselves any way they wish.
Not all women will follow that path.
And those worthy individuals will be the ones selected for survival after the evolutionary culling of the herd.
Meanwhile, we as men need to form the nucleus of a viable "successor state" society that will (ideally) emerge from the rubble. Male networks, orgs and various forms of male bonding will constitute the groundwork and skeletal framework for this.
I might not agree with that Elder George guy about all the details, but he's basically got the right idea: men rebuilding society.
@Snark:
Jody Vaughan was, of course, an ADA like Mary Kellett. The actual District Attorney from that time, Mike Dugan, is also no longer in office in Deschutes County.
An FYI - the exact title in the article is:
"he must now live with one of the last indelible taints in society—the rape accusation."
Gotta love how it doesn't say
FALSE accusation...
Sorry for the double post.
I am researching this now.
I am searching for "Jody Stutsman Vaughan"
It sounds like the judge in the case actually intimidated the jury:

Judge Lloyd O'Neil?
I did a search for these names, and some others (like Michael Dugan).
Good grief - doing an image search for "Judge Lloyd O'Neil" gives pornographic results.
Is that a joke?
To the skinny - I am having trouble finding more info on these people - any advice on how to better do my research?
THanks.
"It sounds like the judge in the case actually intimidated the jury:"
From my own communication with KevinD. and various associates, I know that the whole police/judicial system in that county was in cahoots to stack deck in this case. (Or at least a substantial clique within the system). Not so different from Durham or Bar Harbor, or plenty of other places.
Now, some earnest feminist would say it is all just "prosecutorial misconduct" or the like. But, I won't let feminism off the hook so easy, oh no! Feminism set the stage and created the conditions that made these atrocities possible, and plenty of people in the criminal justice system/legal profession are ideologically indoctrinated feminists as well. (Although you sure can't tell who they are by looking at them).

I remember wondering the same thing waaaay back when, while I was looking for info on these people. Sorry, I'm not much help.
I sure wish we could have made an example out of Jody Vaughan on the same scale as Mary Kellett. But. . . I know we made her life interesting, for a while, at any rate.
I live within a stones throw of Melissa. She is a wretched woman. I didn't make the correlation until yesterday that this was the same girl. I read the article and when it said melissa drives around in a mercedes living a carefree life, I was like..huh..my neighbor is named Melissa and she has a mercedes. She is the same one that has a different guy slinking out of her house at 6am on a Saturday morning. Shes a total whore and why they persued this case is beyond me. So disgusting.
@Anon:
I say, it's a small world. I mean...you living near Melissa, and also arriving at this particular blog (where I have done so much work connected with Kevin Driscoll's case).
Just out of curiosity, what brought you into this part of cyberspace?
Anon,
You should warn the men in your area that MLR is a false rape accuser. You have her name, and pictures are not hard to find ... print off some posters, head to the local bars and stick them up ... you could save lives.
Protip: don't get caught doing it, though.
I don't blame a woman for not getting a rape kit done. But it's best if there's some PHYSICAL evidence; bruising, fibers, skin under nails, saliva, etc. You can give this to police even without a rape kit (plus, certain traumatic parts of the kit can be skipped, leaving plenty of opportunity for other pieces of evidence to be gathered). Bruising and the attacker's skin under fingernails is more powerful than finding semen anyway, since the latter alone can just suggest sexual activity. You've got to give the law SOMETHING there, otherwise even if there's a trial, there's no excuse at all for a man's life to be ruined like this. By a woman now cruising around care-free? NOT the attitude of a trauma-survivor. This is one of the reasons I believe the accused as well as the accuser's identity should be as protected as humanly possible.
Wait, you mean they DID do a rape kit..but not until months later?
Yeah, REAL convincing, woman. What a demon she is.
