Vulgar Hatchet Job Against Fathers

Go and read the following column in The Telegraph (UK). This pertains to the recent Norway massacre. I don't know if the author, Katherine Birbalsingh, considers herself a feminist, but her sentiments chime right along with the party line:

Anders Breivik's Father Has a Lot to Answer For

The best part of this is the comment thread, where a clear majority of the readers are roasting KB's arse good and proper. Here is a choice sample from a commenter signing as 'Verfugbarkite':
"Domineering mother, creating a self absorbed avoidant male. Father left this mother, then worried by the welfare of son, tried to, and failed to get custody. Father fell out with son when aged 16, feeling that son was repsonsible for his own actions at that age, and there was no more he could do. Son continued to have his avoident personality disorder reinforced by his mother, who sheltered him, but told him he was "special and destined for great things". Son reading too much fantasy literature, with too much time on his hands (and drugs) develops more and more dangerous fantasies.

"Anyone can knock up some pycho-horseshit, I did that in 4 minutes (so excuse the spelling errors). "
And that's all I've got to say about this, but do get over there and pay special attention to the comments.

So in your opinion divorce and Father's absense do not influence children negatively?

In that particular situation the father chose to divorce, and though he failed to obtain custody, it was his desicion not to involve himself with his son later in life, so please don´t present him as a victim of the evil woman.

For your information, continental Europe´s divorce system isn´t as skewed towards women as the American one so there are quite a lot of men abandoning their families just as women do. In any sane society divorce should be prohibited save extreme cases. I thought MRAS agreed with this point of view=

How do you justify the "men are the problem" sexism displayed by the author? Or more to the point, the "psycho-horseshit" potential pointed out by the commenter whom I quoted.

And I am not aware that non-feminists all agree with the exact point of view you have cited (re: divorce in a "sane society").

For further drivel check out "Manboobz" who has written an article that tries to draw parallels between this murderer's manifesto and the writings of MRAs.

@Jared:

Tries. . but the question is does he succeed. Maybe some day I'll take a look at that.

But really. . doesn't he realize that it's hopeless, that he can't stop the revolt against feminism, and that his obsession with "MRAs" is barking up the wrong tree?

I don't justufy it at all and I find the title of the article to be in an extremely poor taste indeed. Certainly, the father of Breivik is by no means responsible for his son's crimes.

However, one of the measures of the earthly success is how well someone's children turn out and by this measure, the father and mother of Anders both failed miserably.

Now considering the psychobabble part, the hard statistics show that the fatherless children don't do so well, and in fact it has been a common knowledge that after any major war when a lot of men died there was a spike in teenage criminality. A boy needs his Father, don't you agree?

As for your third point about divorce, I thought one of the chief complaints of MRAs was the abundance of frivolous divorce and Eat Pray Love mentality, and so I was surprised that you recommended the Telegraph comments where the majority of posters defended divorce and denied any negative consequences of it.

Jesus, Fidelbogen. I get that you took issue with some of the commenters over at Roissy's place, but did you really have to take his entire site down?

LOL!

You know what? I've got half-a-notion to take the entire PUA movement down. Maybe I'd better "sleep on it" before I do something rash, eh?
