Institutional Misandry in Canada - TV Interview

Yes. A woman who gets it. A woman of conscience.

Such women do exist. And they need to be speaking up loudly, in much greater numbers. It is imperative that this happen, for the sake of all women. And for the sake of men, too.

What institutions in the U.S. are not influenced by feminism?

Big respect to that woman for speaking out against the feminist hate movement.

I find Barbara Kay to be a little controversial for my taste, although I agree with what she says in the video 100%. She is a Feminist after all, albeit a little awkward...

I made a post of some of her other statements a while back...

I had no idea that Barbara Kay was a "feminist". This was the first time I had ever even heard of her in any way. Does she call herself a feminist, specifically, by name?

That is unfortunate. Very, very unfortunate indeed!

In my post I was citing this Spearhead article:

http://www.the-spearhead.com/2010/12/08/iranian-traditionalist-debates-canadian-feminist/

They call her a Feminist, so I thought I will go with that label. Nevertheless, I made some searches on her, and she seems to be rather critical of the mainstream Feminist left, and appears to be a neoconservative in her political views. She actually talks about such topics as misandry, links second wave Feminism to Marxism, and points out Feminist hypocrisy. I think that she would not like to be called a Feminist.

On the other hand she holds positive views on Feminist accomplishments when criticising non-western traditional cultures. I mean she understands the problems Feminism has caused in our societies, but still deems it appropriate to lecture others on the superiority of our culture. Maybe it is just me, but I deem our culture to be in decline, degenerate to say it more precisely, and in no position to lecture others. But then again, I do not subscribe to neoconservatism.

Here is what she uttered:

"First, to answer your questions about feminists: They not only expect, but they have been responsible for getting many rights for women. Instead of giving you a list, I will simply say that the overwhelming right that women have in the West is the right to control over their sexual lives without being judged. Women demand – and get – the right to have as many love affairs as men, the right to not have children if they don’t want them, the right not to be raped by their husbands, the right to initiate and get a divorce for any reason at all, the right to have custody of their children (except in very unusual cases), and the right to be protected from sexual harassment in school and work. It is a serious offense for a man to be accused of sexual harassment of a women, even if only in words or jokes or anything at all that the woman considers an insult. I would say that women have more rights than men here, and that is all the result of feminism."

Indeed, a Feminist would not say that. But to claim this as a mark of superiority is wrong in my opinion.
