For Feminist Readers: A Fun Little Thought Experiment
So, my feminist readers, what kind of world do you really want to live in? Today, I will boil the menu down to a pair of bedrock, archetypal possibilities. I do this in quest of an outcome that might prove educative. Are you ready?
The first of these two worlds, which our thought experiment requires you to choose from, is called Plan A. In this world, the male population would be composed mainly of people like the celebrated Hugo Schwyzer. Everywhere you wandered, you would meet psychic counterparts of Hugo, and the few who were different would all be "worse" in some way. And that is the reality you would be forced to endure for the rest of your life. Got the picture?
Very well, the next of these worlds is called Plan B. In this world, the male population would consist mainly of critters very much like to my good self -- Fidelbogen! And as before, the remainder would be worse. Got that?
All right, now let's add an extra special wrinkle to the story.
If you choose Plan A, then, as I said, you will be forced to endure that reality for the rest of your life. There is no exit from Plan A.
However. . . if you choose Plan B, and it doesn't quite suit your fancy, then you will be given the option of "transferring" to Plan A.
So you will need to think very, very carefully about this, won't you? You see, although you are welcome to transfer out of Plan B and into Plan A any time you like, it is a one-way highway. For once you arrive in the Plan A world, you will be stuck there for the rest of your life. You can NOT turn around and go back to Plan B again. There is no exit from Plan A. There is never any exit; Plan A is forever!
You will want to ponder this. You will want to mind your A's and B's, won't you?

Neither, Plan A nor Plan B are GOOD choices. Plan A presents you with one extreme, the Feminist and Plan B presents you with the other extreme the MRA. (Both Feminists and MRAs seek advancement of their sex, neither seek some form of equality, irrespective of what they claim. Statements from representatives of both groups demonstrate a desire for a leg up on the other, not support for equality) Neither presents the option of living in a world where men and women live together as “equals,” which does not necessarily mean equal outcome, equal opportunity; or even mean equal responsibilities, or equal treatment. Men and women live as equals when both have opportunities and responsibilities based upon their natural strengths and weaknesses. Plan A presents a world where the male partner carries the new TV and all the other equipment into the house without question or discussion as to whether it was necessary. Plan B presents a world where the male partner loses respect for you for not offering to carry the new TV into the house, even though he’s well aware of the fact that you can’t lift it and such an offer would be foolish. The DESIRED choice is a world where the male partner carries the new TV and you carry the bluray DVD player, the HDMI cords, the 3D glasses; and the new bluray DVDs. In this world both contribute in a manner well within their limits. Equals!
@td9red:
Your response is a fail. Reasons follow.
Firstly, I, Fidelbogen, am not an "MRA". I do not apply that label to myself. Furthermore, there is no such thing as an "MRA" or an MRA "movement", and it is not possible to generalize about what a so-called "MRA world" would look like, because there never would be, or could be, such a world.
In sum, "MRA" is a mirage. Yes, there is a reality which underpins that mirage, but it must be revealed by stages. Thus far, the masses have little-to-no clue in this department. It is your own choice, whether to remain one of the masses.
Do you know what a "&rX.0" world would look like? Of course you don't. Neither do you know what an "MRA" world would look like.
Plan B world is one populated specifically by Fidelbogen-types, and I submit that you have no clear idea what such a world might look like.
Rather than employ the term "MRA", say "non-feminist", and you will begin to initialize your political understanding on an efficient basis.
In Plan A, I suggested a world populated not by "feminists" per se, but by Schwyzer-types -- i.e. male Judas goats of a particular sort. So that particular nuance should be taken into account.
