VAWA is Dead for the Moment
As you probably know, the House of Representatives recently blocked the reauthorization of VAWA. The MSNBC Maddow Blog has posted a short news article about this which will bring you up to speed on the basics. Namely, that the House Republicans blocked the legislation for completely irrelevant and "wrong" reasons -- it didn't have squat to do with men's rights, folks! (You think Republicans are any better than Democrats??)
As usual, the comment thread is the most interesting feature. A whole lot of ignorant jackasses are braying there, but a few of our people also showed up. I know I did. I left the fattest, juiciest pro-male statement of the lot, and the following will link you directly to it:
